Generally, celebrities are friendly and always smile and wave at their fans but not Jennifer Lawrence. She is doing it on purpose to protect herself.
She shared with Adam Sandler during a discussion on Variety Studio's "Actors on Actors" season 7, "Once I enter a public place I become incredibly rude, I turn into a huge ***hole. That's kind of like my only way of defending myself."
The 27-year-old actress even showed the icy glare she throws at those people who want to approach her. Aside from that, she demonstrated how her finger wags together with an impassioned "No!" every time fans request for a selfie with her.
Lawrence has drawn many fans because of her boisterous character during interviews. However, she cannot help becoming arrogant and aloof in front of the public since she believes that the circumstances are much difficult on comedians as everyone assumes they are their best buddy.
She also shared that every time she goes out with her friend Amy Schumer, they both "we're f***ed." She is just being mean to protect herself. Sandler, on the other hand, joked that he would let his fans sit with them and eat along with his kids.
During the chat, Lawrence also pointed out some of the issues that turned up between her and former boyfriend director Darren Aronofsky who helmed the movie "Mother!" where she starred. Their break up went public last week but most concluded that they have been apart since last month.
According to reports, the reason why they put an end to their romance was their age gap. Director Aronofsky is 48 while Lawrence is only 27.
