Country singer Jana Kramer announces she suffered a miscarriage in an emotional post.
The 34-year-old singer broke many hearts over the weekend after revealing via an Instagram post that she lost a child.
Kramer posted a photo of her looking down a sonogram, which she held up to her chest. In the caption, she said that she debated whether to share the news with the world or not, adding that she does not want anyone's sympathy. "I just don't want to feel alone," she shared.
The "I Got the Boy" singer continued to say that while it was not her first loss, it was the first time she is sharing her experience. "Suffering silently was my thing in the past, but it's not now," she said.
Through her post, Kramer wants to encourage women who have miscarried in the past, and those who recently lost a child, to have a portal to "grieve their little ones."
"You don't need to feel alone and maybe that's me talking to myself but if you need a place to share, I'm here for you," she said.
Kramer also urged her followers to read a post from her friend Kristen Brust's blog, A Little Bit Fancy. The article, titled "What Heaven Takes," talks about losing a child and the healing process that follows.
The "One Tree Hill" alum has ben married to NFL player Mike Caussin since 2015. They share their one-year-old daughter, Jolie Rae.
In September 2016, it was reported that the former Washington Redskins cheated on the singer several times, with multiple women. While the couple has since separated, Kramer still calls him her husband, saying they have yet to formally end their relationship in court.
In Olivia Caridi's podcast, "Mouthing Off," Kramer shared that they are taking things "day-by-day." She added that they are "actively working on it" for the sake of their daughter.
