It is almost two months since tech giant Apple released its latest state-of-the-art smartphone, the iPhone X. However, the emphasis on privacy may hinder users from fully utilizing all of the new features that the smartphone has to offer. Fortunately, there are some tips and tricks available that iPhone X users can refer to so they can get the most out of their premium Apple phone. 

Compared to the previous smartphones that Apple has released, the iPhone X feels significantly different in almost all aspects. First off, the phone is equipped with a biometric facial scanner, which is one of the phone's strongest selling points. However, some users find the task of setting up the security feature to be daunting, which leads to some people not using the high-tech feature altogether. 

Fortunately, setting up the biometric facial scanner is quite simple. Users just have to access the Face ID option through the phone's setting, then hold the phone for about 10-20 inches from their face, then the phone will prompt the user to move their face around in order for it to be scannable from every possible angle. After the facial scan, the user will then have an access to multiple preferences as to how they will be able to best utilize the security feature.

Since the iPhone X is geared toward privacy for its users, it is unsurprising that it was built to have hidden notifications -- which means that notifications across multiple apps will remain hidden if the phone is not in use. Coupled with the Face ID feature, some users may find accessing their notifications to be quite tedious.

To avert this issue, users can go to Notifications through the Settings, access Show Previews, then choose Always instead of the When Unlocked option. This allows users to see their notifications even when their phones are locked. On top of that, there is also an option that allows notifications to never be visible -- unless the apps are accessed by the users.
