How Can Christians Recognise the Time of Jesus' Second Coming? Billy Graham Says 'Various Signs Will Point to It'

People all have their theories as to when Jesus Christ will make His second coming. Some people don't believe it will happen, while others think it's going to happen soon because the world has grown so wicked and dark.

World-renowned evangelist Billy Graham said whatever people think, one thing's for certain: Jesus will be back to establish His Kingdom of perfect righteousness and justice. The Bible verse Titus 2:13 calls His return as "the blessed hope – the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ."

No one really knows when Jesus would decide to return. Mark 13:32 said, "About that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven."

However, Graham wrote for the Bowling Green Daily News that "various signs will point to it as the time approaches — but the precise date is hidden from us."

"Jesus also said that just before He returns, Satan will lash out in every way he possibly can, opposing Christ and seeking to turn people against God by bringing great evil and death upon the earth," said Graham. "Remember: Satan tried to keep Jesus from fulfilling God's plan during His first coming – but Satan failed, and by His death and resurrection Christ defeated Satan's plans."

Graham warned that Satan will try again. In fact, Satan has been doing so through the ages, and his attacks will increase as Jesus' return draws near.

The evangelist added that Jesus could come tomorrow or a century from now. Whenever that may be, Graham hopes people have already given their lives to God and are prepared for Jesus' coming.

"Even if His return is delayed, are you ready to meet Him when you die?" he asked. "You can be, by turning to Jesus – repenting of your sins and by faith committing your life to Him. Don't delay, but put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation today."
