It was already confirmed by Microsoft that the sequel to 2015 first person shooter video game, "Halo 5: Guardians," is in the works. However, there are only a few details disclosed regarding the new storyline and gameplay features of the upcoming Xbox One exclusive title. If the latest rumors are anything to go by, "Halo 6" could be the first in the game franchise to introduce a full virtual reality (VR) experience, as revealed by Microsoft's recent job posting.

Gaming Bolt has spotted a job listing posted by Microsoft on LinkedIn searching for a new creative director to work with 343 Industries, the game developer that created the "Halo" series.
The job description reveals that the right person to fill in this position must be able to deliver a new VR experience in the "Halo" franchise. A VR gameplay fits in the "Halo" universe as the latter is known for its rich storytelling and culture, giving a more immersive treat for the players in exploring different worlds.
"We are looking for an inspiring individual to help us pave this new path in partnership with an external development studio. You are well-versed in the balance between narrative imperatives and game mechanics, you drive for innovation and craftsmanship, and you are inspired by the idea of bringing Halo to life in a whole new way," the job description states.
While fans are convinced that the job post is intended for the upcoming "Halo 6," there is no indication if the game itself will be made entirely of virtual reality. Moreoever, Microsoft might be talking about another "Halo" title, which might be a short game snippet that allows the fans to experience "Halo" in VR.
Per PCGamesN, there is no certainty that Microsoft is now ready to take on the mixed reality platform, even though the latest Xbox One X console already features VR support. There are still a few steps to be taken in order to deliver a true VR experience in the Xbox One, although "Halo 6" could be one of those titles that will introduce virtual reality to Xbox users.
More information will be revealed this June as Microsoft teases the upcoming Xbox One exclusive games at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2018.
