The acclaimed action role-playing game "Grim Dawn" garnered a lot of attention when it dropped in 2016, primarily for its rich and comprehensive gaming style, which some liken to Blizzard's "Diablo" franchise.

Now, "Grim Dawn" is again at the center of the headlines in the gaming scene as its developer, Crate Entertainment, has confirmed that the once PC-exclusive title will now be coming to the Xbox One console -- which players have been clamoring for since it debuted.

According to the announcement, the port is now currently in the works. The game conversion is also said to be quickly underway as demands for a console version of the game are on the rise.

"It's no secret by now that we are working on an Xbox One port of the game, which is coming posthaste and big news in itself, but that's actually not what we're here to talk about today," the revelation reads.

Since its launch, rumors of a possible Xbox One port have been gracing the interwebs constantly. However, this is the first time that fans have received a concrete confirmation form Crate Entertainment.

If a port really is nearing completion, "Grim Dawn" will see fans play on the Xbox One console as a character in the apocalyptic-fantasy world, where human beings are dying out. Here, users will be able to make use of "Grim Dawn's" famous dual class system, which lets players combine up to six kinds of classes and nearly a dozen skills.

Players can either play as an arcanist, a shaman, an occultist, an inquisitor, a demolitionist, nightblade, a soldier, or a necromancer. And once players reach level 10, users can now select a second mastery class.

In other news, alongside the release of this information, Crate Entertainment also confirmed a new DLC expansion pack for the PC platformer in the form of the Forgotten Gods patch. The said patch will be coming to PC users late this year.
