With only 7 minutes left in the Tournament of Power, things are getting more intense in the Japanese anime television series "Dragon Ball Super." Universe 7 and 11 fighters are giving their best to save their respective universes.
The anime will go on a hiatus this week for New Year celebrations. It will return on Jan. 7, 2018 for episode 122, titled "For One's Own Pride! Vegeta's Challenge To Be The Strongest!!," wherein Vegeta will face Jiren. However, new spoilers indicate that Vegeta will be defeated. It appears that Goku is indeed right when he said that Vegeta will not be able to take down Jiren.
Translator Todd Blankenship shared new spoilers for episode 123, which will air on Jan. 14, 2018. The episode is titled "Full Power of Mind and Body Unleashed! Goku and Vegeta," which may mean that someone will finally master Ultra Instinct. However, this could refer to Goku since he will transform into Super Saiyan Blue. On the other hand, Vegeta will not be able to put up a decent fight with Jiren since he will be defeated.
Meanwhile, Gohan will also have his own fight. He will be facing Toppo along with Android 17. Spoilers indicate that Android 17 will be making a sacrifice to defeat Toppo. Android 17 will use his body to paralyze Toppo and he will order Gohan to defeat both of them. But Gohan will hesitate, which will give Toppo time to break the shield and eventually send Android 17 out of the arena.
Aside from that, Gohan will also help Frieza defeat Dyspo in episode 124, titled "A Stormy, Fierce Attack! Gohan Fights with his Back to the Wall!!," which will air on Jan. 21, 2018. Since Vegeta is already defeated, only Goku will continue fighting with Jiren.
Episode 125, titled "Advent of the God of Destruction, Toppo! There is Only Overwhelming Power!!," will air on Jan. 28, 2018. Although there is no summary yet, it teases that Toppo will now show his full power while fighting Gohan. Meanwhile, episode 126 does not have a title yet and it is set to air on Feb. 4.
"Dragon Ball Super" airs Sundays at 8:15 pm on Fuji TV.
