The latest addition to the "Dissidia Final Fantasy" franchise is coming to the west on Jan. 30. Titled "Dissidia Final Fantasy NT," the game takes after its predecessors and plays out as a fast-paced action roleplaying game composed of a handful of Final Fantasy characters from previous games.

Developed by Square Enix and Team Ninja, "Dissidia Final Fantasy NT" aims to be a strategic brawler composed of different Final Fantasy characters – each with unique skills tailored to different players' preferences and play styles. The game comes with different modes, allowing for single player story mode or arena modes where players can face off against friends or other people all across the globe.
A new addition to the "Dissidia Final Fantasy NT" game is Noctis from "Final Fantasy XV."
Noctis is both a prince and an assassin and wields weapons forged from air. Being the newest addition to the Dissidia team, this will be the first time Noctis meets the rest of the Final Fantasy cast.
The upcoming game currently features a roster of more than 30 fighters. However, the roster has yet to be finalized and more characters will most likely make an appearance through either game updates or purchasable downloadable content (DLC) packs.
"Dissidia Final Fantasy NT" is set several years after the previous Dissidia games. However it follows the same formula, but instead of Choas and Cosmos fighting – the fight here is between Materia (The Goddess of Protection) and Spiritus (The God of Destruction). Both Gods summon their respective champions to fight for them, but unlike in previous Dissidia games, the heroes and villains retain their memories.
An announcement trailer was uploaded to PlayStation's YouTube channel on Jun. 7, 2017.
Aside from "Dissidia Final Fantasy NT," fans of the Final Fantasy franchise will be getting another surprise. "Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omni," will also receive a Western release. However, release dates regarding the upcoming mobile game have yet to be announced.
