Jessa Duggar Seewald met the ire of fans when it was revealed that she will be charging them for attending "Fashionably Modest with Jessa," an event that will be held on June 24 in Ohio. The activity is organized by Heavenly Highway Tabernacle.

Those who are interested in attending the event will need to pay a $20 entrance fee, which is inclusive of lunch and a meet and greet with Jessa. Her husband, Ben, and two sons will not be attending the event, as men and those below 9 years old are not eligible to be part of it. Meanwhile, vendors will need to pay $50 to reserve a slot.

A fan said that charging for the event is an oxymoron. Another said that doing so is hardly a modest act. Jessa was even slammed for not dressing modestly enough, with a fan commenting that the shirts she wore while pregnant were tight.

Jessa, along with her sisters, is known for having a conservative manner of dressing. They are not allowed to wear pants, and they wear dresses or skirts with blouses instead. They have never donned on tight or revealing clothing. Their dress rules earlier put Jinger, Jessa's younger sister, in hot water, after she began wearing shorts and pants, allegedly due to the influence of her husband, Jeremy Vuolo. Prior to Jinger, their cousin, Amy King, is the only known Duggar woman who was known for regularly wearing pants.

Ben, on the other hand, has his own speaking engagement. According to the Duggar Family Blog, he will be speaking alongside other speakers such as Voddie Baucham, Jeff Rose, and Mark Spence, at the Evangelism Reformation Conference. Fees are also charged for attending the event. Individuals will need to pay $50, couples $60, and families $100 to attend this activity.

Jessa has not given a statement yet regarding this issue.
