With the success of "Stardew Valley," it is not hard to see publisher Chucklefish releasing some more games. Fortunately enough, Chucklefish indeed is releasing a new game called "Spellbound." Although there is not much gameplay news about the game so far, some of the game's story details have been shared at least.

Founder Finn Brice gladly shared his thoughts about what the new game would be about during an interview with Red Bull Games. According to him, "Spellbound" could easily seem like "Harry Potter" only that players live their own lives as high-school students in Hogwarts.

"The game revolves around your path through school, the relationships you build, and your mastery of the several schools of magic at your disposal," said Brice. "Players should expect to build up their magical proficiency by undertaking school projects. This might have them growing magical crops and creatures in herbology or taking on the denizens of the forest in elemental magic."

Brice also mentioned that as much as magic is involved, a significant time will also be spent on being an actual student. This means the player would actually have meetings, meeting new people and even dating some girls and, of course, there will be a possibility of getting dumped. Aside from all these, there is obviously going to be some combat gameplay.

In its combat aspect, Brice said that it is going to be similar to the "Zelda" series or at least they were the main inspirations, per GamingBolt. Instead of the traditional weapons in the "Zelda" games such as bows, swords and bombs, "Spellbound" is going to have spells and magic, of course.

Lastly, although he does not mention any specifics, he tells players not to expect a linear storyline. In that case, players could probably expect some plot twists here and there. As for a release date, Brice did not mention anything, but fans can expect that it is soon to come on the PC, and maybe even on the Switch.
