The doctors will once again deal with complicated cases in episode 21 of "Chicago Med" season 2.

The official synopsis for the upcoming episode titled "Deliver Us" reveals that the doctors at the Gaffney Chicago Medical Center will deal with a complicated case pertaining to a family.

The promotional preview of episode 21 shows a pregnant woman, whose heart is failing, is being rushed to the emergency section of the hospital. With this, the doctors need to perform a risky surgery that may affect the life of the woman or the baby. The mother pleads to them that she cannot lose her baby.

It turns out that the mother is doing all her best to deliver the baby so she can save her daughter, who has leukemia. When Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) orders that an X-ray be performed, the patient does not want to, as she is hesitant with any radiation that may contact her unborn child. The baby is the perfect match for her afflicted daughter, whom the mother is also trying to save.

The teaser reveals that no doctor has performed the procedure before. As they prepare for the operation, Dr. Rhodes tells the staff that once he cuts the patient open, the time starts ticking. Will they be able to successfully perform the procedure and save everyone?

Meanwhile, the summary for the upcoming episode also reveals that Dr. Charles' (Oliver Platt) daughter Robin (Mekia Cox) has been hearing rats from the walls and has been acting unusual lately. With this, he will ask Dr. Reese (Rachel DiPillo) to conduct the psychological evaluation of his daughter.

On the other hand, Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) will spend more time together at work, while Dr. Choi (Brian Tee) will pressure the rest when a residency slot opens.
