Samuel L. Jackson and his Captain Marvel co-star Brie Larson showed their generous side recently when they gave custom-made hoodies to the cast and crew as a gift. But their gift to them may just be a gift to the fans too as it seems to have revealed a spoiler about the upcoming superhero movie.
Jackson, who'll be reprising his role as Nick Fury, showed off the hoodie in an Instagram post with his 3.5 million followers and it showed a yellow cat below the flags for S.H.I.E.L.D. and Captain Marvel logos.
The caption to the Instagram post was "Adding this Captain Marvel cast & crew hoodie to the rotation!#thanksbrie&me#errrbodyearnedtheirstripesonthisone#higherfasterstronger."
Now fans are going wild with anticipation that this yellow cat could be Chewie, which readers of the comic book will know as the feline friend - or rather alien species called Flerken - that Danvers brought with her to space.
According to ComicBook, filming wrapped up on the California location at the end of June before moving for a last two weeks more of principal photography in Louisiana.
Kevin Feige was quoted by the website as saying it's not quite ready yet.
"I think there's still a few months on it," Feige said. "You already know as much as you need to. We've got Skrulls, we've got the Kree, it takes place in the '90s, you have Sam Jackson with two eyes and Carol Danvers, a unique telling of Carol Danvers' origin story."
According to Film, the movie makers will be using some digital whizz to turn back the years on Jackson to make his appearance more in line with the movie's setting back in the 1990s as it explains the origins of Carol Danvers.
When they asked Feige if he would consider using digital de-aging on a prequel movie, he replied: "Well, I think having the option is pretty amazing. And I think having the technology and even without spoiling anything, Sam Jackson is shooting a movie for us right now that takes, where he's entirely 25 years younger the whole movie [Captain Marvel]. So that'll certainly be the one."
