Candace Cameron Bure says she's 'outspoken' about her faith but admits to feeling a lot of pressure from other Christians

Fame comes with a price. "Fuller House" star and "The View" host Candace Cameron Bure says that for her, the price  is constant criticisms. No matter what she does, people will always have something negative to say.

People's tirades against her could be enough to get her down. Thankfully, though, Bure knows how to hold her ground. "There are a lot of people out there who might expect you to uphold their standards, rather than your own," she writes in an article for Motto. "I'm very outspoken about my Christian faith, and I actually face a lot of pressure from others within the faith."

When she joined "Dancing With the Stars," she was constantly being judged for her costumes. Some Christians complained that it was either too provocative or too revealing. Regarding her appearances on "The View," she has been criticised by some for not speaking up enough for conservative values.

Instead of trying to please everybody, Bure has decided to just live according to her standards. "I've found that people really do respect when you hold true to your convictions and what you value. So you just have to learn to let the comments go and not take them personally, even if they're well-intentioned," she advises. "When I'm having issues or facing a big decision I'm unsure about, I talk with the people who are closest to me, whom I trust and who know my situation. That's where I seek guidance, along with prayer, not from the masses."

During times when she feels like giving up, Bure reminds herself to change her attitude. "Attitude is everything. It's always going to get hard at some point. You have to find the joy in whatever you're doing and come out the other side," she says.
