"Fuller House" star Candace Cameron Bure feels uncomfortable whenever people place on her a pedestal, because she's a "sinful human being" just like everyone else. The actress said she tries to honor God in everything she does, but that does not mean she is perfect.

"I think it's always hard, because in everything I do I want to honor God the best that I can in every outlet, and I don't just mean publicly, but personally and in my private life," she said during a guest appearance on "The Lucas Miles Show." "But it's always a good reminder - tell everybody listening, 'Please don't look to me as anything more than I am, because I am just a sinful human being.'"

Bure said whenever she professes her faith, she has a very high standard to live up to. While it's flattering to be admired, Bure said she's bound to make mistakes and disappoint her fans. "So, people will always be disappointed in some fashion. But it's my hope and prayer that I do it as best I can and I'm not too disappointing," she said.

The actress revealed that she developed her relationship with Jesus in her early 20s, and it really changed her life. Bure said her faith means "everything" to her, so even if she's mocked in the entertainment industry for it, she will stand tall as a Christian.

"Everyone kind of laughs because it's like, you know, if you want to be in the entertainment industry, coming out as a Christian typically is not the best way to get your foot back in the door. But, it was like, 'Hey, if God is going to open this door, great, and if He doesn't, okay, then then there's something else, and this isn't what I'm supposed to do,'" she said.

Earlier, Bure also revealed that prayer plays an important role in her life, and she could not go one day without talking to God. "If I've got a tough day, God's right there with me by my side," Bure explained, adding she appreciates having "an open dialogue with God at any time of the day or night."
