Hallmark Channel welcomed the holidays with its original movie "Switched for Christmas" starring television star Candace Cameron Bure. The film premiered last Sunday, Nov. 26. Bure is also leaving a strong television momentum for 2017 with new "Fuller House" episodes to be released days before Christmas.
The plot of the movie is about twin sisters Kate and Chris Lockhart portrayed by Bure swapping lives for Christmas. Both of them decide to switch identities in order to experience something new and seek an adventure in their lives. Joining Bure are actors Mark Deklin and Eion Bailey. Hallmark's adorable Happy The Dog is also part of the movie's cast ensemble. "Switched for Christmas" is also an exciting project for Bure because she had the chance to work with her daughter Natasha in the movie's production.
Bure will conclude 2017 with new "Fuller House" episodes to be released in December. The first batch of season 3's episodes were released on Sept. 22. The first half of Netflix's family comedy sitcom had nine episodes. Bure made an announcement on Twitter revealing nine brand-new episodes to be released on Dec. 22. "We actually have nine new more brand new episodes coming to you very soon," she said. Bure revealed no further information about the plot of the upcoming episodes given that episode 9 ended with a cliffhanger.
Season 3 of the series received mixed reviews from online critics. IGN and IMDb gave season 3's part 1 a 7 out of 10 score. Rotten Tomatoes, on the other hand, only gave the show a 32 percent score rating.
Bure also released her new book, "Staying Stylish: Cultivating a Confident Look, Style, and Attitude," on Nov. 21. During an interview with Today, Bure stated that her latest book is about feeling good about yourself and taking care of yourself. "It encompasses everything. So it's taking care of your spirit, starting from the inside out and I talk about skin care and hair and make-up and travel tips," she said.
