Despite his age, evangelist Billy Graham remains dedicated to proclaiming God's Word and sharing His message to people.
The famed American evangelist will celebrate his 97th birthday on Nov. 7 this year with the release of his 33rd book, which he started working on in the fall of 2013, according to Charisma News.
His new book is titled "Where I Am," and here Graham sheds light on the end times and eternal life, two Christian concepts that many people are clueless about.
Graham had just finished writing "The Reason for My Hope-Salvation" when he pressed Donna Lee Toney from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) to help him outline his next project.
"Many people today do not understand the fundamental truths about mankind's eternal destinations and that each person has a choice to make concerning the most critical matter of life — where they will spend eternity after death," he said in explaining the reason why he wrote the book.
When Toney reminded him that he has already "written and preached on heaven and hell for nearly 80 years" and suggested that he take a break, Graham responded by saying that he doesn't feel quite that old yet.
"I just may live until my 100th birthday!" he enthusiastically added.
"The more I listen to the news of what is going on in the world, and in the church, there is great confusion about the end times. Some people wonder how to get to heaven and others don't seem to care if they wind up in hell," Graham said.
"God has a lot to say about this, and He has not kept His promises hidden, but few pastors preach on it today. I would like to shed some light on what the Bible has to say about the subject of eternity for today's generations," he said.
Toney pressed Graham for more answers concerning the afterlife. She asked: "When people ask if heaven is a literal place and where it is, what will you tell them?"
Graham looked outside of the window for a while and gazed at the beauty of the Carolina mountains surrounding his home. After his short pause, he said: "Of course heaven is real because Jesus is real — He is the way, the truth, and the life — and heaven is where Jesus is — and I am going to Him soon."
