Billy Graham, Pope Francis made it to 'most admired men' list

Being a soldier for Christ has landed evangelist Billy Graham in the most admired men in the world list for the 61st time, and his son Franklin could not be more proud of the achievements he has made for God.

In 2017, both Graham and Pope Francis made it to the list, with the pope landing the third spot while Graham was placed fourth. The Gallup poll, which was conducted on 1,049 American adults, included the pope in the list for the fifth time in a row.

Cinching the top spot is Barack Obama, followed by Donald Trump. Other men who were included in the list are John McCain, Elon Musk, Bernie Sanders, Bill Gates, Benjamin Netanyahu, Jeff Bezos, the Dalai Lama, and Mike Pence.

Franklin posted about his father's distinction on Facebook. "At 99 years of age, my father Billy Graham has made Gallup Poll's list of most admired men for the 61st time. This year he is #4. I'm grateful to God for the incredible platform He has given my father through these many years," he wrote.

"My father has been faithful to God's Word. He believes the Bible to be the inspired Word of God. He believes in Heaven and Hell, and preached repentance from sin and that people must put their faith in Jesus Christ who took our sins to the cross, died in our place, and then God raised to life," he added. "By trusting Christ, we are assured of an eternal home in Heaven. In an ever changing world, isn't it good to know that God's Word never changes - it's the same yesterday, today, and forever!"

Billy's children, such as Franklin and Anne Graham Lotz, are continuing their father's legacy by starting their own ministries and spearheading their charitable organizations.
