Dinosaurs, guns, and infinite lives are only some of the selling points of "Ark: Survival Evolved," as the new launch trailer for the game's Xbox One X version showed these and more.

The launch trailer, uploaded by Xbox, is titled "Respawn" and is aimed at the re-launch of the game on the "world's most powerful" console by Microsoft. The trailer is also live-action and is notably more light-hearted than most of the previous 3D-rendered launch trailers for the game.

It starts off with a naked male castaway washed up ashore on a lush island. The castaway wakes up and sees a beautiful woman wearing improvised dino-leather attire, carrying a gun, and mounted on what appears to be a mutant velociraptor. The woman then kills the castaway with her dinosaur mount since he was an easy prey. The naked castaway, however, simply "respawns" on the shore as if in a game and meets the same woman, but this time, she is on a Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex) mount with futuristic armor, and instead of killing him again, she gives him a rifle.

This is apparently a semi-accurate depiction of the usual behavior of players in "Ark: Survival Evolved" where players must try their best to survive in a big, open environment littered with dinosaurs and other dangerous creatures. Players can decide to either kill whoever they meet or befriend them and risk betrayal, having their weapons, gear, and mounts stolen.

The Xbox One X version will let players utilize the full power of the console, giving players the option to see the game in either a prettier 1440p resolution at 30 frames per second (FPS) or a smoother 1080p at 60 FPS. The former, called "detail mode," apart from having a higher resolution, also has higher quality textures, extended draw distances, more realistic shadows, and a robust weather and sky system complete with the full range of tropical atmospheres.

The Xbox One X is now available along with its own version of "Ark: Survival Evolved."
