8 scriptures to help you face your personal giants

Many times in life, we will face giants that seem impossible to conquer, but God promises in His Word that we already have the victory in Christ. Faith doesn't always seem to be the best option, but truth be told it is the only option that will really bring true victory.

We all know what it's like to face a challenge that seems impossible to conquer. Many times in the Bible we see that happen - David against Goliath, Gideon against the Midianites, Moses against Pharaoh - and in each of these situations, God conquered for those who put their faith in Him. God brings giants, storms and challenges to us not because He wants us to suffer for our sins, but so that we will grow in our character and in our faith in Him.

Here are eight scriptures that can encourage you when you're facing your own personal giants today.

Joshua 1:9. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Psalm 27:1. "The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?

Isaiah 41:10. "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Romans 8:11. "If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you."

Romans 8:18. "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."

2 Corinthians 4:8-9.  "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed."

2 Corinthians 12:9-10. "But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Philippians 4:12-13. "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength."
