7 verses on the importance of intercession

God calls us to be men and women of action. He doesn't want us to be passive, but to proactively work for His kingdom. We think of intercession, but we don't consider it to be proactive work. But understanding how Jesus is now our high priest who bridges us now to the Father will lead us to understand the active power that is in the power of prayer and intercession.

To intercede is to pray and intervene on behalf of another. That's exactly what Jesus did for us and what the Holy Spirit does for us when we can no longer do things on our own, which is something that happens often.

The vitality of intercession can be forgotten very easily. When something goes wrong in our life or in someone else's, it can be easy to say, "What should we do now?" instead of saying, "When do we start praying?" When we pray, we allow God to move on behalf of our limitations and of the limitations of others.

Here are seven verses that can remind us of the value and importance of intercession when battling with seemingly impossible circumstances.
