5 Bible verses to encourage you to hope for nothing but the best

The Bible says that Jesus is "the hope of all the earth" (see footnote, Isaiah 42:4). In Him and in His powerful name we can hope, and hope for the best. After all, He is the "amen" for all of God's promises to us (see 2 Corinthians 1:20).

In Christ we can hope for the best, whatever we are going through. Are you praying for some encouragement to help you hope in the Lord?

Here are some Bible verses that you can meditate on and pray to the Lord.

Psalm 84:10-12 – "For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You!"

Isaiah 40:31 – "But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint."

Romans 5:1-5 – "Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love."

Matthew 7:9-11 – "You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him."

Jeremiah 29:11 – "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."
